05.05.2025 Memorial Tourney Thomas Rönn
BG tournament organised by Lena Sahlén and WBIF
- Lena: After a painful year of cancer diagnosis, treatment and hospice our gentle giant Thomas Rönn has passed, just 51 years old. His soft demeanor, sharp intellect, creativity and stunning backgammon skills made him a unique person, but he was much more than an extraordinary talent and a top ranked player, he was a loved and treasured friend and mentor to many in the backgammon community. Always happy to share his knowledge and to help out where needed. Until the week before his passing, he engaged in his daily most favorite routine of playing backgammon on Heroes. Scrambler as he called himself, was a force to be reckoned with. He leaves behind Mother Britta, Brother Anders and many very close friends and an immeasurable amount of people whos lives he had touched and hearts he had won. Thomas Rönn, your memory lives on in all of us. Rest in Peace. ♥️"
- Tourney will start on Sunday 1st June at 17:00 wbif time, approximately one week / round.
