14.01.2016 - Turkish Online Championship 2016 (EBIF&TOT2016)

Applications to the tournament are possible from now on till 29.02.2016 by using the registration form on http://tot2016.tavlavehayat.com. Please fill in the application form completely and exactly. Your EBIF account will be used for scheduling, reporting matches and checking the results. If you don’t have an EBIF account, you will have one before the tournament starts.
Online matches will be played on a backgammon server (either TigerGammon or GridGammon). If you don’t have an account on TigerGammon please use http://tigergammon.eu/client-ebif/ to Register yourselves, Login and try the server.
If you don’t have a GridGammon account and TOT2016 decides to use it, your application for a GridGammon account will be made by TOT2016 using the information you have provided. However, this process might be slow and TOT2016 organization does not guarantee an account for you.

The tournament will start on March 01, 2016. The duration of the tournament is dependent on the number of participants. However, a period of eight months until the end of October 2016 will be targeted.
The tournament will be played in Triple-Ko - mode: Each participant plays until he has either lost 3 times and is therefore eliminated or the only participant with fewer defeats wins the tournament. All pairings are played to 13 points. The draw for the pairings will be made round by round according to the Swiss system tournament software by Hans-Jürgen Werner. A tie-breaker rating does not take place. The calculated performance rate has no influence on the outcome of the tournament. In addition, the EBIF tournament rules apply.
For the rating of the tournament count the matches won. Both the match points of the individual matches and the performance ratings have no effect on the tournament.
The result of the game is to be reported by e-mail - using the form on EBIF website - to the EBIF Tournament Director. The game reports shall be attached and will be evaluated with eXtreme Gammon and results will be published.
In case of disputes EBIF rules and TOT2016 rules apply.
